JÜRG VOGT
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Jürg Vogt from Steffisburg, Switzerland was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of
Lions Clubs International at the association’s 104th International Convention, June 24 through
June 28, 2022.
Director Vogt successfully led a family-owned business company, where he managed more than
70 employees during his 30 year career. Now, he is partially retired but still works as the owner
and sales director of Vogt-CTE GmbH, a distributor of firefighting, search and rescue equipment
to first responders around the world.
He is currently a member of the Lausanne Epicurien Lions Club. He first became a Lion in 1987
after joining the Aaretal Lions Club. And in 2009 he became a transfer charter member of the
Stockhorn Lions Club. He has held a number of offices within the association including multiple
district council chairperson and vice president and program director of the Europa forum
Montreux.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including an
International President’s Awards. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Vogt is active in numerous professional and
community organizations. He served as a captain in the Swiss Army until 1999, and has special
firefighter tunnel ventilation experience.
