Permanent Project of District 321A2 of MD321

A weekly (Sunday) vision center was established in 2006 by Lions Club Delhi Naya Bazar Disttt.321A-2   to cater eye related need of Rural remote areas of Delhi. Lions Club Naya bazar has formed a charitable society and then established MOJI RAM LIONS EYE HOSPITAL a permanent project of Lions Club Delhi Naya bazar. It was inaugurated by International Vice president-2 lion Naresh Aggarwal on 25th January 2015 it   boasts of the best, latest and State of the Art Equipment and Operation Theatre and some of the best Eye Surgeons of Delhi. The hospital is a 17 bedded facility including a General Ward, a Semi- private Ward and 2 Private Rooms. It has 2 Operation Theatres with the facility of 4 surgeries at one time and is serviced by a lift. The hospital is NABH Accredited, has a laboratory, an ECG room, provision for Free Diabetic Check-up, Latest machines for Retina check-ups, a Drug Store, a store for Spectacles and all the facilities required for running a Day- Care Hospital including Hot meals and clean water for patients.

The purpose for establishing the hospital was to eradicate Avoidable blindness. Till 26th August, 2023 the hospital had to its credit, 11,500 cataract removal surgeries, out of which 5584 were done free of cost and the remaining at a highly subsided price. Apart from this, the Hospital has also organized 118 Outreach camps in schools where 1,17,309 school children were screened, out of which 15,306 children were referred to the hospital for further investigation and were treated suitably, free of cost. Under leadership District leadership the club members running hospital very successfully.
