About Me:
ALICIA KIRI BEER
LEO-LION BOARD LIAISON
Alicia Kiri Beer from Black Diamond, Alberta was appointed by International President Dr. Patti
Hill to serve as a Leo-Lion Board Liaison of Lions Clubs International from 2023 through 2024.
Alicia’s journey started as a Leo, when she helped her father, Lion Tim Beer, charter the Lil
Legendary Leo Club and led the club as their charter President. Her enthusiasm and passion for
service and fellowship motivated her to continue her journey as a Leo-Lion with the Foothills
Lions Club.
As part of the Leo Club Program, Alicia has served in a number of leadership roles including
club president and Leo Club Program advisory panelist for CA II. She has also held a number of
offices within the association including district Leo chairperson and vice president of the
Foothills Lions Club. Alicia is currently a trustee for the USA/Canada Leo Leadership
Foundation, which coordinates the USA/Canada Leo Forum, and in 2022 she served the USA /
Canada Lions Leadership Forum as the Leo and Young Lions Chairperson. Alicia has also
served as a presenter for LCICon 2022 and the USA/Canada Lions Forums. She was also
selected as the Leo-Lion Cultural Exchange ambassador from CA II in 2022 because of her
leadership and ability to serve as an ambassador for young people throughout Lions
International.
Alicia has been honored multiple times for her leadership and her service to the association. She
has received an International President’s Leadership Awards, numerous International President’s
Certificates of Appreciation and is a recipient of the Leo Medal of Honor.
Alicia currently works full time as a disability support worker for Calgary Scope Society. She
supports individuals with developmental disabilities as well as mental health diagnoses. Her
work focuses on daily care and tasks, in addition to supporting quality of life through autonomy
and advocacy. Alicia has a great appreciation for Special Olympics as many of her clients have
participated in the games all their lives.
As a Leo-Lion Board Liaison, Alicia will focus on strengthening the global community of Leos
and young Lions around the world by supporting and promoting the various networks of service
and fellowship that help us connect and support one another.
In her free time, Alicia enjoys new experiences and looks forward to any opportunity to travel.
She enjoys snorkeling, fishing, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
