EDWIN GUY HOLLANDER
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Edwin Guy Hollander from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, USA, was elected to serve a two-year
term as an international director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 105th
International Convention in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, July 7 through July 11, 2023.
Director Hollander is fully retired after more than 20 years of professional service in the field of
environmental chemistry. Prior to his retirement he served as the organic preparation supervisor
for the Natural Resources Cabinet of the State of Kentucky.
As a member of the Lawrenceburg Lions Club since first joining in 1995, Director Hollander has
always worked to help his community with the knowledge, resources and enthusiasm that Lions
are well known for.
He has held a number of offices within the association including district information technology
chairperson and multiple district public relations & Lions information chairperson. He is an
executive board member for the Kentucky Eye Foundation for which is has also held every
office through president.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including an
International President’s Leadership Award. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Hollander is active in numerous professional and
community organizations including his past work as county coordinator for the American Radio
Relay League. Additionally, his work with 4-H has earned him a Volunteer of the Year Award.
He is also a member of the American Chemical Society and certified single engine private pilot.
Director Hollander and his wife of 38 years, Carol B. Hollander, who is also a Lion and a
Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, have two children who are both members of the Lawrenceburg
Lions Club. Director Hollander prefers to be called “Guy” by his friends and fellow Lions.
