STEWART SHERMAN-KAHN
BOARD APPOINTEE
Stewart Sherman-Kahn from Birmingham, UK, was appointed to serve a one-year term as a
board appointee of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 105th international convention
in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, July 7 through July 11, 2023.
Director Sherman-Kahn is a chartered surveyor and has owned his own business since 1999.
He has been a member of the Birmingham Chinatown Lions Club since 2012. Sherman-Kahn
has held a number of offices within the association, including president and secretary of his club.
He has also served as district governor of District 105-M in 2018-2019, council chairperson of
Multiple District 105 in 2019-2020 and Global Leadership Team lead of Multiple District 105
from 2020-2023.
He is the chairperson of Multiple District 105 Foundation Trust, LCIP Qualified, a Certified
Guiding Lion, DGE Seminar group leader in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 and a founding member
of the Young Lions Task Force Europe.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including the
International President’s Medal and International President’s Leadership Award. He is also a
Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lion activities, Director Sherman-Kahn is active in numerous professional and
community organizations, such as a board member of Openland LGBTQ Property Group, chair
of Trustees of Thrive Education Trust from 2016-2023 and a trustee of Global Brigades UK from
2020-2023. His passion is leadership and he believes that all Lions should have the opportunity
to lead and learn on their journey.
Director Sherman-Kahn and his husband, Kash, are the proud parents of their cat, Freddie.
