TIM IRVINE
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Tim Irvine from Perth, Australia was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions
Clubs International at the association’s 104th International Convention, June 24 through June 28,
2022.
Director Irvine is a retired accountant and finance specialist with 42 years of professional
experience as a certified practicing accountant.
His journey as a Lion began in 1984 when he was invited to join the Darwin Sanderson Lions
Club by a very actively serving coworker. In 2012, he became a charter member of the Atwell
Lions Club, where he still serves today. He has held a number of offices within the association
including his service as a trustee for the Australian Lions Children’s Mobility Foundation, a
director for the Australian Lions Drug Awareness Foundation and a certified Lions instructor
who graduated during the original pilot LCIP program in 2017.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including
multiple International President’s Awards, an International President’s Leadership Award and
several International President’s Certificates of Appreciation. He is also a Progressive Melvin
Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Irvine is active in numerous professional and
community organizations including his service as an area coordinator for Story Dogs, an
innovative program that aims to help emergent readers gain confidence and thrive.
Director Irvine and his wife, Pene Irvine, have one child and two grandchildren.
